• large covered balcony with south-west orientation
• floor-to-ceiling windows in the entire living area
• terrazzo floor by the brand VIA including underfloor heating
• open kitchen with cherry wood fronts by Cubro Design
• bright bathroom with Grohe Rainshower and ceramic tiles
• various practical installations in the entrance area
• cozy sleeping alcove with integrated cherry wood bed including storage space
• idyllic communal garden
INTERIOR
You enter the apartment via a staircase with a typical terrazzo floor and door frames painted in Yves Klein blue. Shopping basket and keys can be placed directly in the integrated seating niche in the entrance area. Practical built-in cupboards offer plenty of storage space for clothes and shoes.
An open arch leads to the spacious and perfectly designed living and dining area with an open and fully equipped kitchen.
Light colors and natural materials characterize the feeling of space, which is perceived as inviting and harmonious. Cherry wood, a typical material of the 1960s, can be found on the kitchen fronts, in the large cupboards in the entrance area and in the bed alcove.
Two custom-made wool curtains in light greige darken or separate the entire window front and the sleeping alcove. The terrazzo floor by VIA in the living room and hallway was also cast individually. The underfloor heating creates additional space. The result of this elaborate work gives the apartment this high-quality look in a true-to-the-original 1960s design.
The bathroom with Italian stoneware floor tiles is also kept in light natural tones. Ceramic wall tiles provide a perfect backdrop for HK Living's oval silver mirror. The walk-in rain shower with Grohe fittings is an eye-catcher in the bright bathroom with a daylight window on the inside.
A highlight of the apartment is the cozy and cleverly used sleeping alcove. With an integrated shelf for drinks or books and a built-in socket, it is not only comfortable but also practical. The bed frame has a large drawer and offers additional storage space. Blinds and curtains allow the small hideaway to be completely darkened or integrated perfectly into the living room, as required.
OTHER
Smartly solved, there is a niche with connections for the washing machine and dryer on the way to the bathroom.
The modern and high-quality equipment includes e.g. wash fittings from Grohe, WC from VitrA, oven from Samsung with Dual Cook, two cooking chambers and WiFi SmartControl.
A spacious cellar room with an original cherry wood door and a shared bicycle cellar are located on the garden level.
EXTERIOR
This smartly designed 37 m² apartment is located in a building from 1969 in the lively district of Altona. Typical of this architectural style are the large-format windows, flat roofs with an accentuated attic, and grid-shaped concrete facades. The location on the 3rd floor, the floor-to-ceiling window front and the south-west orientation ensure fantastic daylight and sun in the afternoon into the evening hours. The view of many tall trees is visually calming.
The building with 12 units has a small, well-kept community garden, directly adjacent to the romantic Wohlerspark. This is the perfect place to invite friends and family to a relaxed garden party in summer.
LOCATION
The design apartment is both urban in the middle of Altona and yet quietly located directly at the Wohlerspark. Concerts, readings and poetry slams take place regularly in the Altona cultural church in the immediate vicinity. You can shop for groceries on Max-Brauer-Allee until late in the evening. A ten-minute walk takes you to the pulsating Sternschanze, where individual cafés, restaurants and small concept stores are waiting to be discovered.
You are connected by the Max-Brauer-Allee bus stop with several bus lines right in front of the front door. The Holstenstraße S-Bahn station is a 5-minute walk away. Or you can do it like most people in Hamburg do and jump on an e-scooter or rent a car-sharing vehicle - you can reach the airport in 24 minutes, the lively Jungfernstieg in 10 minutes.
