INTERIOR
18 flats. One concept: clear design, well thought-out floor plans and a harmonious sense of space - realised in a mid-century building that has character without being loud. The residential units range from compact studios to open-plan 4-room flats with balconies or terraces - ranging in size from 31 to 95 sqm. Eight flats are tenant-free and ready for individual use, four are currently let on solid tenancies - ideal for a long-term investment with prospects. The architecture follows the logic of the 1950s: functional, light-filled and restrained. The room layouts are clear and efficient, but with enough space to allow flexibility - whether for single living, home office or family life. The renovated flats have been modernised in recent years with a feel for the style of the era: Oak parquet flooring in warm tones, floor-to-ceiling window fronts, new bathrooms with graphic retro-style tiles, harmoniously integrated fitted kitchens with high-quality appliances and a mid-century colour scheme.
A key feature is the reference to the outside. Almost every unit has balconies, loggias or terraces - places that are more than just additions. They open up the flats to the outdoors, providing light and rhythm. On the garden floor, indoor and outdoor areas combine to form private courtyards, while roof terraces on the top floor extend the view over the skyline.
The outdoor space thus becomes part of everyday life. An al-fresco dinner on the terrace, an aperitivo on the balcony as the sun sets - here, function merges with lifestyle.
These flats offer no staging - but a calm, clear home for people who appreciate design, understand space and live in style.
EXTERIOR
The building dates back to the 1950s - and consistently conveys the design language of this era to the outside. The facade is structured by horizontal ribbon windows, slender balcony axes and balanced proportions that lend the building a sense of calm and precision.
The balconies take centre stage - finely crafted, with filigree railings whose narrow, elongated meandering lines are reminiscent of graphic drawing systems. A craftsmanship that has become rare. A design gesture is created on the recessed flank of the corner building in particular: the balconies there run in a gently sweeping line - a graceful curve reminiscent of an ocean liner and elegantly curving into the neighbouring buildings.
The entrance to the house is also deliberately staged - but restrained.
A striking cantilevered roof spans the entrance, below which three wide steps lead up to the glazed portal with its original brass push handle.
In the inner courtyard, terraces with wooden planks are laid out as quiet outdoor spaces for the garden floor flats. The front garden facing the street is discreetly bordered by hedges and creates visual distance and privacy.
The house is bright, open and optimally lit thanks to its corner location. The orientation towards the street and the courtyard makes light a natural quality for all flats.
LOCATION
It is no coincidence that Frankfurt's Westend is one of the most popular and exclusive residential areas in the Main metropolis. There is no hustle and bustle here, no noisy staging. Instead: old trees, architecture with history, conversations in the beautiful cafés and excellent restaurants at star level.
As you walk through the streets, you will immediately realise: this district has attitude. Art nouveau meets clear modernity, old buildings meet new perspectives. It's a neighbourhood that doesn't need much explanation - you understand it when you experience it.
The Wöhler Residences are located in the middle of this grown, green and elite district and are characterised by their central and absolutely quiet location: Alte Oper, Goethestrasse, the banking district, Palmengarten, Grüneburgpark, a Michelin-starred French restaurant or an Italian trattoria - everything can be easily reached from here on foot or by bike in just a few minutes.
