INTERIOR
The townhouse is located in the 2nd row of the two-row residential complex ze05 in Zelterstrasse in Berlin and borders the community garden planned by a landscape gardener, whose trees and bushes have meanwhile developed into a green oasis.
5 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 dressing rooms, utility room, storage room, kitchen, living and dining room, spread over 156 square meters over 3 floors, create this unique house-in-house feeling. The location on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors promote this feeling, supplemented by the feeling of undisturbed living, with a view over the roofs of Berlin, which extends to the television tower on Alexanderplatz.
The floor plan is arranged symmetrically. From the central, two-flight staircase, where the entrance area is also located, two rooms with a dressing room are located on the middle level (5th floor). Utility room and master bathroom complete this level.
Above is the centerpiece - the open third level (6th floor), where the kitchen, living and dining area plus patio are located.
A short steel staircase leads from the patio to the sophisticated, greened communal terrace equipped with garden furniture from the Hay brand.
Finally, the 4th floor features two additional, identically sized bedrooms, a practical storage room and a second spacious bathroom with bathtub. A balcony accessed from the bedrooms faces the garden.
The floor plan shows the extremely careful planning, observance and implementation of today's living requirements, which has really succeeded.
Pleasant room sizes, sufficient ancillary rooms, clever planning of private and public spaces, such as the relocation of the kitchen and living room
and dining room on the top level testify to this well thought-out floor plan. In addition, of course, lots and lots of light.
A sophisticated interior design and interior fittings to match. Everything was kept in white and matching solid wood parquet everywhere. The stairs were also covered with solid wood, so that the creative stringency becomes recognizable. White door frames and door leaves, kitchen fronts, built-in cupboards, bathroom base units, etc. follow also this uniform design principle creating a functional yet timeless ambience.
Of course, only demanding manufacturers and materials were used: Vola fittings, Duravit ceramics, Corian washbasins, travertine stone and more.
Fans of the most beautiful contemporary architecture recognize the qualities of this townhouse in this award-winning residential complex immediately. Actually it can't get any better!

EXTERIOR
The townhouse on Zelterstrasse was designed, planned and built by the Zanderroth architects' office. The ze05 residential complex was completed in 2010 and received various architecture prizes (e.g. Architecture Prize Berlin 2013, German Builder Prize 2014).
Of course, the architecture played an important role in the awarding of the prize. Two elongated structures parallel to Zelterstrasse delimit the street space. 3 storeys plus the ground floor they take up the heights of the surrounding buildings. The architectural style is modern, but in its highly sophisticated design timelessly beautiful.
Concrete as the basic structure accommodates large-format, square panes of glass, almost frameless. A standing rectangle, shaped as a small balcony from natural wood, results in a logical grid. Squares, lying and standing rectangles made of concrete, glass and natural wood create this stringent design language.
The facade facing the inner courtyard also follows a strict, logical grid made of squares and rectangles. Only the closed areas were partly clad in scales with diagonally laid metal shingles. A linearly arranged recess forms an arcade, which at the same time also is a balcony. A filigree railing surrounds the upper roof terrace.
Here, too, a great architectural overall picture, which impresses with its stringent design language, material combination and color composition and provides this unique selling point of such an architecture. Extraordinary, unique, unsurpassed - a highlight in the architecture scene.

OTHER
There is a beautifully landscaped garden, a common roof terrace where everyone has a certain space (access directly from private patio), a underground parking space belongs to the apartment and the elevator goes straight down from the 5th floor. Also, there is a shared sauna, table tennis room as well four guest apartments.
In this way, the advantages of having your own house were combined with the aspects of communal living, in other words an extremely future-oriented concept.
LOCATION
Zelterstrasse is a quiet residential street in Prenzl 'Berg. There are chic cafés like Kaffe Bar and of course the various cosy spots around Helmholtzplatz and Stargarder Straße, which is a sweet shopping street. Here you can find the best ice cream at Hokey Pokey or shop Swedish sweets at Herr Nilsson. The Wilhelm-von-Humboldt as well as Käthe-Kollwitz school are just around the corner and several daycare centers are just a stone's throw away. You can go shopping in the new Rewe in Pappelallee and chill out or play table tennis in the park of the beautiful Humannplatz.
If you wanna get around, just hop onto the tram that goes around the corner from Erich-Weinert-Strasse and for longer rides take the S-Bahn from Prenzlauer Allee. Also if you wanna head up north towards Uckermark and its beautiful lakes like Oberuckersee or Wolletzsee you will be there in no time (less than one hour) as the motorway starts just a few kilometers north.
