Where Art meets Home.

Bert Teunissen x Emmastraat

Bert Teunissen, whose work will soon be part of the Rijksmuseum collection, is renowned for his Domestic Landscapes; images of time and memory experienced in the context where they belong: a living environment. For this first edition, a home on the Emmastraat designed by Studio Linse — exclusively for sale through Fantastic Frank — serves as the backdrop. Within the refined natural light of this house, Bert Teunissen’s serene, analog photography enters into an organic dialogue with the space. With this collaboration, Art&Estate explores the interface between aesthetics, living, and art. An exclusive partnership between Fantastic Frank Amsterdam and renowned art curator Jacqui Dolan.

Bert Teunissen is a Dutch photographer (born 1959) best known for his long-term project Domestic Landscapes, in which he documents traditional European homes built before World War II and the people who live in them. His work focuses on capturing natural daylight in interior spaces, preserving a quickly disappearing way of life and atmosphere that predates modern electric lighting. Teunissen’s photographs have been exhibited internationally and published widely, and his approach often draws comparisons to the light and mood found in Dutch Old Masters.
