INTERIOR
A town house in Sóller dating from 1903 with its own courtyard has been transformed into an outstandingly designed refuge of old and new.
385 m² of living space on a 225 m² plot are spread over 3 levels plus basement. The ground floor houses a kitchen with centre counter and adjoining breakfast table. The living room opens out on two sides onto the terrace and the inner courtyard with the 7 m long turquoise-coloured swimming pool, which invites you to take a dip.
The central hall leads to the two upper floors with a total of 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. A further living room/studio on the upper floor offers views over the town to the surrounding mountains.
French balconies and small exits create connections between outside and inside. The entire house allows for the most beautiful living on holiday or all year round with family, friends and guests.
The special design feature is the central hall with its lovingly restored historical elements such as banisters, wooden steps and cement tiles. The doors with cut glass are reminiscent of Art Nouveau. In the bathrooms, the historicist design language was taken up in the washbasins, bathtubs and fittings. The cement tiles in the floor coverings also refer to this style.
The rest of the design is dominated by cutting-edge modern design. The kitchen, with its combination of natural wood surfaces and the iridescent grey-green tones of the marble, is an example of design with a focus on functionality in its straight lines and angularity.
The pool design also reflects this philosophy. Confronting curves with straight lines, using old and new, traditional and modern materials, smooth and rough surfaces, etc., results in an exciting mix that creates a special atmosphere. The pastel colours are bright and warm and correspond perfectly with the oak parquet flooring laid in a herringbone pattern. The result is tasteful, aesthetic and extravagant, both inside and out.
EXTERIOR
The façade of the 1903 building is classically beautiful. With 3 storeys and 2 windows each, the house appears clear and structured. Lattice windows, French balconies, narrow balconies as exits with filigree metal railings or closed stone balustrades on the ground floor skilfully show how variations were used in the architecture.
The beige-grey stone façade corresponds with the pale yellow plaster flaps and the bottle-green shutters so typical of the region. Street trees complete the appearance, just as the entire street is characterised by the old plane trees, which also ensure a good microclimate.
The architectural surroundings are also wonderfully authentic, a hallmark of Mallorca. Here too, the old cityscape is complemented by sophisticated, newly designed streetscapes; well-kept, cultivated, beautiful. It is a good place to live, especially as all the technology meets the standards of 2024.

LOCATION
Sóller is one of the most famous towns in Mallorca, and not without reason, as its location is simply ideal. The Tramuntana is on one side and on the other is the vast Mediterranean Sea. Both are just a short drive away and so you can experience two very different natural phenomena up close.
One of the highlights in the area is the old town of Sóller with its Sant Bartomeu church. You should definitely go inside to marvel at the magnificent interior. The lively square in front of it offers cute little cafés, high-quality delicatessens and, if you look closely, some truly remarkable old architecture.
Port de Sóller with its harbour and beach is only 6 minutes away by car. If you're feeling adventurous, you can hop on an old-style train that takes you straight back to another century.
For the foodies, the area offers many prestigious restaurants; from rustic homemade local produce to first class Michelin star restaurants, you can enjoy any type of cuisine here at any time. We recommend starting the evening with a sunset at Patiki, followed by a first-class dinner at El Olivo and ending the evening with a typical "Boc Rojo de Naranja" (a Sóller conjecture) at the trendy Do de Pit in Plaza de América.
