INTERIOR
The townhouse, hidden in a picturesque backyard, whose interior fittings and design was created by the renowned Frankfurt architect Alexander Bernjus, is a unique design gem. In an absolutely quiet, green, but still central prime location of the trendy and pulsating Nordend-Ost, it initially captivates with its restrained elegance and architectural language. On more than 180 square meters of living space, spread over 2 levels, a sophisticated and well thought-out design concept opens up inside this exceptional property, which makes the hearts of architecture lovers beat faster. The extensively renovated old building from the 1960s with a "house-in-house" character has private access with an intercom. The private staircase made of fine Jurassic stone leads from the ground floor via the roof terrace to the main entrance on the 1st floor. Directly connected to the entrance area is the open and perfectly integrated designer made-to-measure kitchen with modern equipment from Siemens and an adjacent, hidden pantry. The center of the 1st floor is the fireplace (ethanol), which was artfully integrated into a floating concrete wall and airy separates the living / dining area from each other. The fireplace / living room with a view and access through floor-to-ceiling windows onto the 60 sqm rooftop and the roof garden offers the perfect setting for relaxing, enjoying and soirées with friends. Behind a custom-made, "invisible" sliding door is the office / guest room with attached ensuite shower room, which was also designed entirely from Jurassic stone. This area can also be used as a separate children's room. The hidden shower bath integrated into the wall with a golden thread curtain for the walk-in shower and a separate guest toilet with an open Jurastein washbasin integrated into the wall are additional design highlights on this level. All fittings come from the VOLA design label. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the 1st floor are both double-glazed and provided with burglar protection. In addition, they ensure sufficient daylight and allow a view of the spacious, green, approx. 60 sqm rooftop. A specially made pavilion framed by vines and apple trees as well as terrace coverings made of high-quality, oiled Bankirai wood create the ideal place to sunbathe and linger with guests of the house. The unique atmosphere of this domicile is underlined in particular by the continuous combination of the dark brown oiled oak parquet with the coolness of the fine local Jurassic stone, which can be found both outside and again and again inside the exceptional property - in bathrooms, floors, walls, kitchen. A unique living concept for every design lover. The 2nd floor is accessed via the open, elaborately designed staircase, which can be accessed from the entrance area behind an architectural eye-catcher - a round wall opening. Here is another living and sleeping area. The (media) lounge with adjoining library invites you to read and relax. From there you have access to the master bedroom with a spacious ensuite master bathroom, which impresses with an oversized bathtub and a rain shower, which is elaborately designed with mosaics. A dressing room with made-to-measure built-in cupboards made of dark brown oak veneer round off the unique, puristic feeling of living. As a special feature, it should be mentioned that the master bedroom has access to the rooftop on the 3rd floor and the approval, neighborhood approval and a first planning draft for the expansion have already been received. All in all, natural materials and colors were used for the interior and harmonized with one another. Walls in timeless greige, dark oiled solid oak, decorative elements of stone walls, Jura tiles, dark brown windows and taupe-colored carpeting in the upper lounge and sleeping area complement each other perfectly and conjure up an individual townhouse charm.
EXTERIOR
The rear building, originally from 1960, was converted into a townhouse in the discreet Bauhaus style in 2010. In the course of a complex interior renovation by the Frankfurt architect Alexander Bernjus, the entire interior was carefully planned and converted to a high quality. The design shows the extravagant signature of the renowned architecture office in every detail and reflects the coolness of the unplastered, "rough" exterior facade in greige with many window fronts and flat roof. Due to its location in the backyard, this oasis offers absolute peace and privacy. The townhouse is completely quiet due to its location in the backyard, it is surrounded by the green gardens of the neighbors and is surrounded by the green gardens of the neighbors and the rooftop has a "house in a house" character.
LOCATION
Bornheimer Landstrasse impresses with its central yet quiet location in Frankfurt's trendy Nordend district. In order to get to the main train station or the airport quickly, there are connections to the underground or tram in the immediate vicinity. The Nordend district is not only very popular as a residential location. In particular, the "promenade and shopping mile" Bergerstrasse attracts with numerous restaurants, cafés and bars.
