Internationally acknowledged sculptural masterpiece defined by infinity stairs & landscape garden "Morgana"
INTERIOR
This sculptural masterpiece, created by Hamburg architect Thomas Wegner, has received international acclaim for its bold contemporary design, integrated art, and complete privacy across a plot of more than 20,000 square meters. Naturally, it has been featured in leading publications such as Arquitectura y Diseño and Italy’s Casamica. Every detail of the home reflects a commitment to design excellence, a spirit of experimentation, and a pursuit of the extraordinary. Architecture, spatial flow, and materiality come together to form a cohesive whole that serves both as a private retreat and a dramatic stage.
At the heart of Son Almendros is its iconic infinity staircase, a striking architectural feature that spirals elegantly around the central courtyard and pool. Designed as a walkable sculpture, it clearly stands apart from traditional Mallorcan estates.
The centerpiece of the home is a spacious patio anchored by a majestic tree, surrounded by bright, light-filled rooms. Indoors and outdoors blend seamlessly. Expansive glass surfaces and clean lines create an atmosphere of calm openness. Thick stone walls maintain a comfortable climate throughout the year, while several fireplaces add warmth and intimacy to the living spaces.
The ground floor includes two lounges with fireplaces, an open-plan kitchen with adjoining pantry, a guest bathroom, and a section of the pool that extends into the interior. A covered walkway connects these spaces to a study and a bedroom in the southern wing. The inner courtyard remains the constant visual focus, drawing the eye and anchoring the entire living area. Just beyond it lies the outdoor pool, an impressive 20 meters long and up to five meters deep, offering both refreshment and the thrill of diving in from above.
Upstairs, the luxurious master suite features two dressing rooms and a generous en-suite with twin bathrooms and a separate WC. Another bedroom and a self-contained studio unit with its own kitchen and bathroom provide additional space for guests or staff. A large south-facing roof terrace extends the living area and offers a sweeping view over the patio.
The basement adds another layer of refinement. A private spa area with whirlpool, sauna, and full bathroom creates an exclusive wellness experience. Additional rooms include a generous art space, a utility area, and a separate laundry. There is also ample storage and the option to install a large garage or wine cellar. Further amenities are underfloor heating and underfloor cooling (modern heat pump) as well as a Bose sound system both inside and outside the house.
This is far more than a house. It is a place of inspiration, serenity, and architectural excellence.
EXTERIOR
Main House
The exterior of this remarkable property is as powerful as it is poetic, reflecting the conceptual depth of the architecture in every detail. The front façade is a sculptural composition of two massive natural stone walls, standing parallel and almost mysteriously concealing the entrance. It lies in a narrow vertical recess between the walls, where light filters through subtly, offering a first glimpse of the extraordinary spatial composition inside. The raw texture of the Mallorcan stone, combined with strict geometric precision, creates a presence that feels both monumental and understated.
A gently sloping path leads to the entrance, framed by dense Mediterranean vegetation. Olive and fig trees, along with low shrubs, create a calm, grounded atmosphere. The façade deliberately avoids windows or large openings, reinforcing a sense of seclusion and focus while ensuring absolute privacy.
Toward the rear, the house opens generously to the surrounding landscape, revealing the architectural depth in full. Two wide natural stone staircases ascend from either side, leading to the green roof terrace. These staircases form part of the iconic infinity loop that winds sculpturally around the building, linking the courtyard, the pool, and the upper floors. At the center, large round-arched openings with wooden shutters evoke traditional Mediterranean architecture while maintaining a sense of contemporary clarity.
The elongated reflecting pond at the back of the house is a feature in its own right. Its still surface mirrors both nature and architecture, blurring the boundary between the two. Visually and spatially, it flows into the narrow indoor pool, which appears to vanish beneath a floating white structure. Above it, a restored historic canoe is suspended - an almost surreal touch that captures the house’s continuous interplay of art and life.
The crisp white cubic volume of the upper floor contrasts deliberately with the warmth of the stone below, bringing a sense of lightness to the overall composition. A slender pergola on the roof terrace introduces rhythm and structure, offering filtered shade for climbing plants. The garden is formally arranged yet remains close to nature. Lawns are bordered by olive trees, shrubs, and other Mediterranean plantings, giving the outdoor spaces depth and texture.
As a whole, the exterior achieves a rare balance between protection and openness, between groundedness and levity. The combination of sculptural architecture, carefully considered landscaping, and subtle water features creates a singular environment that radiates calm and inspiration.
“Morgana” Landscaped Garden
Set within Mallorca’s expansive Mediterranean terrain, a landscaped garden of poetic intensity unfolds beside the main house. Known as Morgana Park, named after the optical illusion of a mirage, it is more than a traditional garden. It is a walkable vision, a space of silence, mystery, and contemplative beauty.
Its paths follow a gentle, organic rhythm, curving softly through a diverse mix of palm trees, olive groves, ornamental grasses, and exotic plants. Water features intersect the garden, and the grounds are maintained with an established irrigation system.
At the heart of the park, glass pavilions emerge from the landscape. Their translucent surfaces reflect shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day. Sculptural in form, they recall crystalline shapes or silent chapels. Ethereal yet grounded, they can be read as works of art, private retreats, or enigmatic signals in space. Small ponds, stone paths, and secluded seating areas surround them, encouraging quiet reflection.
The layout is fluid and open. From above, one sees an elegant composition of pathways, water, and planting. At ground level, the experience becomes intimate and immersive, shaped by texture, fragrance, sound, and light. Every walk through Morgana reveals something new. Each view invites a shift between the real and the imagined.
Together with the house, the garden forms a coherent whole. The architectural clarity of the building and the lyrical softness of the landscape enhance one another. Morgana Park is not just a cultivated outdoor space but a place of inward reflection, inspiration, and beauty. It unfolds gently, inviting presence rather than demanding attention.
OTHER
The property holds a valid holiday rental license for up to six guests. From the outset, it was conceived as a place of encounter, designed to host visitors, events, and creative projects. Its generous indoor and outdoor spaces are ideal for weddings, concerts, retreats, conferences, photo shoots, and film productions. Supporting infrastructure and a professional network are already in place. The house has been used commercially on several occasions, and it continues to attract regular inquiries for events and filming.
LOCATION
The estate is set in the gently rolling countryside of southeastern Mallorca, nestled between the villages of Cas Concos and Felanitx. This region is defined by its olive groves, almond orchards, traditional stone walls, and a rare sense of stillness that sets it apart from other parts of the island. Cas Concos is known for its authentic charm, its ties to the local art scene, and some of the finest small restaurants in the area. Just a few minutes away, Felanitx is increasingly emerging as a creative hub with a cultural outlook. Bar Mercantil, operated by the team behind Palma’s celebrated Bar La Sang, offers Spain’s leading sustainable wine list and a refined gastronomic concept. This is complemented by Pax Gastrobar with its contemporary cuisine and chic ambiance, and by Café Candela, a warmly run local favorite for coffee, conversation, and community.
Day-to-day amenities are easily accessible. Both Felanitx and Cas Concos offer a variety of supermarkets, and essential services such as a school and hospital are within close reach. The nearest beach is just a 15-minute drive away. The popular weekly market in Santanyí, known for its high-quality food, crafts, and fashion, is less than a quarter of an hour away and remains one of the most vibrant on the island. The scenic bays of Cala Mondragó, Cala Llombards, and the unspoiled beach of Es Trenc are all nearby, as is Mondragó Natural Park, with its hiking trails through untouched coastal landscapes. Palma Airport can be reached in about 35 minutes, and the city center in roughly 40.
This location offers a rare combination of seclusion, authenticity, and an elevated quality of life in a part of Mallorca that is quietly reinventing itself.
