A few minutes from the crystalline coves of Cala de Binisafúller and the whitewashed lanes of Binibèquer Vell, in the unspoiled south-east of Menorca, Bini Dada rises quietly from the landscape. Designed in 1985 by architect Francesc Guarda Riera, the house is defined by clarity of form and a strong sense of balance, where modern geometry meets the calm openness of the island’s countryside.
The name Bini Dada references the spirit of Dadaism, the avant-garde movement that challenged artistic conventions. In a similar way, the house introduces a quietly radical architectural presence within its rural surroundings, where strong lines and simple volumes create a sculptural composition softened by the surrounding fields and the distant Mediterranean horizon.
The experience begins with symmetry. A central entrance hall forms the axis of the home, framed by two mirrored staircases that rise toward the upper floor. The gesture is architectural and theatrical at once, establishing the rhythm that defines the house.
The main living space unfolds beneath soaring double-height ceilings, anchored by a striking fireplace and flooded with natural light. From here, the interior opens effortlessly toward the garden and the expansive sea views beyond. A separate dining room offers a more intimate setting, while the kitchen and adjoining laundry space combine warmth and practicality. Two double bedrooms and a bathroom complete the ground floor.
Upstairs, two additional bedrooms and a bathroom enjoy elevated views across the surrounding countryside and the Mediterranean beyond, reinforcing the home’s quiet dialogue with the landscape.
The property sits on an expansive 14,321 m² plot, ensuring exceptional privacy and uninterrupted 180-degree views of sea and countryside. While there is currently no swimming pool, one can be legally constructed, offering the opportunity to further shape the outdoor living experience.
Country houses with sea views are extraordinarily rare on Menorca. Bini Dada is not only a home, but a distinctive architectural estate where geometry, land and sea meet in quiet harmony.
