"The house was built in the first half of the 20th century and was recently inhabited by a baker and her grandmother. During the renovation, we found elements left over from the building's past, including brass olive oil bottles and old straw-wrapped wine jugs. We decided to honor this rustic story to the fullest and opened up the interior spaces of the house to celebrate the original volume of the house, part of its interior wooden structure and its almost 1 meter thick exterior walls. We opted for simple materials and colors in tune with the charm of Alcácer."
