Fantastic penthouse with breathtaking views and direct access to a private roof terrace
It is rare to encounter a level of detail quite like that found in this apartment following a renovation carried out with deep respect for the home’s original character. The residence is laid out like a three storey townhouse, perched at the very top of a building with the distinctive architectural expression of the 1930s, a raw aesthetic that has been executed to sublime effect.
French balconies are found almost everywhere. All handles from Buster+Punch are black, as are the fittings from VOLA in the bathrooms, while the kitchen features a Quooker. One additional colour plays a key role: a carefully calibrated green that references the building’s characteristic exterior window colour. It reappears on the staircase, as wall paint, and in herringbone tiles from Made a Mano with matching grout. The tile pattern has been specially adapted to flow seamlessly into the wooden flooring in the same herringbone design. Even the elevator door is finished in this colour.
The elevator opens directly into the main entrance, providing access to the private third floor, as well as a private elevator stop on the fourth floor where guests can disembark. The third floor comprises two bedrooms and a bathroom, while one level up you will find a generous living room that easily welcomes guests, along with an additional bathroom. It is equally ideal to invite guests to the top floor, where the elegant kitchen dining area features wide glass sections opening directly onto the roof terrace.
The kitchen is by Copenhagen Furniture Company, combining dark elm wood with dark grey linoleum, and topped with a granite work surface. The view is truly sublime, offering vistas over the city’s towers and landmarks, an experience made even more striking when stepping out onto the roof terrace. In addition to the many French balconies, there are two further balconies, creating a harmonious connection between indoors and outdoors.
The location speaks for itself, with cafés, shops, and cultural offerings side by side with sports facilities, green retreats, and all practical amenities such as grocery stores, S trains, metro connections, and childcare institutions.
