Meet Khuong Nguyen
The photographer and interior stylist Khuong Nguyen is the founder of Berlin based Kozy Studio. We asked him about his approach to create unique images, his favorite places and insider tips.
What are the key essentials to create a perfect picture?
Of course, a good balance of light and composition is a good start. But expressing some emotions through the picture is the main key to create a perfect photo.
What was your favorite Fantastic Frank object that you captured until right now?
It’s hard for me to choose a favorite. Every Fantastic Frank object is so unique and every project has its own special details. But if I have to choose I’d say the Hundertwasser Villa in Bad Soden was my favorite one in terms of architecture.
The last design item you fell in love with?
The chairs of the Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret - timeless design with a warm feeling. These chairs work well with every interior styling.
Your favorite place to get some fresh inspiration in Berlin?
To get new inspiration I go to Rosa Wolf, a magazine shop with carefully selected independent publications, or I visit a photography exhibition at C/O Berlin.
A good travel destination for architecture geeks?
I’d recommend to visit the home of the Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen's in Antwerp. I like his signature spare aesthetic.
Tradition or Innovation?
Innovation but only with traditional essence.
