INTERIOR
Three years ago, this apartment in an old building was modernized while retaining the characteristic charm of the old building. Many original details such as wooden floorboards and wooden doors have been retained. The kitchen was completely renovated (including tiles by Kreuzberg artist Eric Winkler) and opened up to the living room - where a small French balcony facing south is ideal for growing a tomato or two in summer.
The bathroom has been painted a chic turquoise-green, tiled in a semi-bonded pattern and fitted with a large threshold-free shower.
The result is a family-friendly 3-room apartment that combines proximity to the Gräfekiez with the advantages of Volkspark Hasenheide.
EXTERIOR
The building, which dates back to 1883, has been extensively renovated in recent years. Among other things, the façade, the roof and the cellar were insulated. The façade was also repaired. More than 500.000 euros were invested in the property.
LOCATION
The Graefekiez is now also well known outside of Berlin. Breakfast at Le Bon, dinner at Tulus Lotrek and a nightcap at Geist im Glas - all just around the corner. If you want to get out of the neighborhood, you can hop on the M41 right outside the front door or take the subway to Schönleinstrasse in 6 minutes. You can shop nearby at Edeka on Dieffenbachstrasse, at Netto diagonally opposite or at the Bio Company on Kottbusser Damm. The canals are also within walking distance and the Maybachufer or Paul-Lincke-Ufer are just a few minutes' walk away. The Zickenplatz in the immediate vicinity offers more nature.
