INTERIOR
This exclusive new building is located between Brandenburg Tor and Gendarmenmarkt. The historic archway, past the concierge and the guest lobby, leads into a lovingly designed inner courtyard with water features and green plants, around which the surrounding flats are grouped.
The floor-to-ceiling layout with an open-plan kitchen, light-coloured oak floorboards and many floor-to-ceiling French windows facing the bright inner courtyard create a comfortable living environment. The morning hours are best enjoyed on the bedroom balcony.
The large bathroom combines a functional room layout with clear aesthetics. White ceramics from Valdama, matt black fittings from Vola, light-coloured concrete tiles and glass mosaic create elegant accents.
The open-plan kitchen area is communicatively located between the living and sleeping area on one side and the study on the other.
The clear aesthetics are continued in the glossy white home control system from Busch-Jaeger, which is also the source of the smart home system.
EXTERIOR
The newly renovated building ensemble consists of four listed Wilhelminian-style villas, which have been carefully complemented by a new building. Historical details were revitalised and modern elements integrated. A central courtyard was designed from which all parts of the building can be accessed. It provides more light, more openness, more greenery and beautiful views. A place where you can meet other residents.
The historic stairwells are unique: wrought-iron banisters, woodwork like in churches, cantilevered sections with figural elements, floral cement tiles or set pieces of historic wallpaper testify to the high standards with which the old has been treated here. Pastel green and yellow add a touch of colour.
This level of design also applies equally to the new building and the exterior design. The entire ensemble of buildings, both inside and out, demonstrates architecture, interior design and landscape architecture of a very special class with an exceptionally loving and careful treatment of the details found here. Beautiful living in a historic ambience with the highest standards of technology and design - quiet, tranquil and yet right in the centre of Mitte.
LOCATION
Everything is within walking distance: Friedrichstraße, Pariser Platz with the Brandenburg Gate, and just behind it the government district invites you to stroll along the Spree and take a walk through the Großer Tiergarten. On the other side of Friedrichstrasse is probably the most magnificent square in Berlin, the Gendarmenmarkt, with the historic ensemble of the Berlin and French Cathedrals and the Konzerthaus - nowhere is Berlin more of a European metropolis.
This is also where Berlin's social and gastronomic life takes place; the Borchardt restaurant has long been one of Berlin's trendy classics and the Wiener Schnitzel is legendary. But quieter alternatives to the hustle and bustle of the big city are not far away either - you can get a good white wine to go with French tarte flambée in the tongue-in-cheek wine tavern called Nö right on the doorstep.
The main railway station can be reached in around 8 minutes by car and BER in around 35 minutes.
