INTERIOR
This retail space offers 184 m² with a 12 m long shop window front and room heights of around 3.50 m. The premises were renovated just a few years ago and the room concept, technology and design meet the requirements and standards that are expected of commercial units today.
The ambience was created to match the program of a Danish design label. The three street-facing rooms with large shop windows were connected by wide openings. A fantastic glass wall leads into the rear rooms, where there is an office with a huge, perfectly fitting built-in cupboard. To the other side is a timeless fitted oak kitchen in typical Reform style, offering plenty of space for a dining table. The toilet is also located here.
All rear rooms, including the two smaller offices, have windows overlooking the inner courtyard. There is also a terrace, which is ideal for employees to use in the warmer months.
The premises are therefore lit from two sides and are characterized by the uniform design principle that immerses the walls, ceilings and floors in grey/white, which are naturally kept completely smooth. The striking lighting system from Flos, including the colored cables, sets linear, red accents in the room that can be used flexibly.
The homogeneity of the surfaces, the focus on the color white, the color accents red and black are a design statement. Exciting visual axes through glass fronts complete this aesthetic overall impression.
EXTERIOR
The building itself is part of the listed building ensemble from the Wilhelminian period, built around 1895. The red-brown clinker brick façade with eggshell-colored stucco elements is remarkably beautiful. A risalike projection with a multi-storey bay window draws the eye to the building. Individuality and prestige characterized the spirit of the time, which is so clearly visible in the architecture. Today, the entire district benefits from this aesthetic and the high standards of the living environment.
