INTERIOR
This exciting new apartment is located in the Scheunenviertel, one of the hottest districts in Berlin-Mitte. The L 142 building was designed by the architects Peters and Wormuth and was completed in 2017. The apartment is on the 1st floor and faces northeast and southwest.
On 133 m² there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower or bathtub, 1 guest toilet, 1 utility room and a huge kitchen/dining/living area. All rooms have smaller, triangular balconies or a terrace in front of them. A niche for the cloakroom in the entrance area was even thought of. The open floor plan makes the apartment appear even more spacious, light and bright than it already is. Architecture and interior design are at the highest level of design, complement each other seamlessly and merge into a perfect symbiosis.
With a room height of around 3 m, the white ceilings and walls create a pleasant feeling of space. Striped oak parquet flooring, laid in all rooms, contrasts with the white of the ceilings and walls. A classic cold-warm contrast was achieved in this way. The colors white and beige were also used in the bathrooms, with the angular shapes of the sanitary objects fitting in perfectly.
The highlights are the floor-to-ceiling, floor-to-ceiling glass elements. The inward triangular shape creates one or two exits from which you can observe urban life. Further highlights include the custom-made cupboards and shelves, which give the apartment an inimitable, individual touch. Functionality guaranteed.
Kitchen units and wall units with white surfaces and delicate handles harmonize with the colors of the walls. The various built-in shelves and panels give the whole thing an unusual, very modern touch. Perfection in industrially manufactured surfaces meets the lively, almost raw appearance of wooden panels. The result is an exciting mix that stands for extravagant taste. Brave, extraordinary, extremely skillful with strict adherence to functionality. A very special apartment!
EXTERIOR
The building is part of a building ensemble consisting of a garden house with side wings and the new building on the street side. Everything was completely renovated and the new building formed a perfectly designed architectural complex of old and new, which of course also includes the inner courtyard with its private atmosphere.
The architecture also stands out from normal new buildings in terms of design, as it refers to the adjacent Wilhelminian style buildings. Perforated facade, 2-story base, floor heights of the apartments, eaves height, sloping roof refer to the proportions of the historicist old buildings. Wall colors and glass elements in natural wood also refer to the surroundings.
Restraint as a credo, without wanting to hide the year it was created in 2017. A commitment to modern living with its advantages, without wanting to stand out. You can also experience this inside; high-quality materials such as natural stone slabs and steps, stainless steel railings and designer ceiling lamps. The color concept, consisting of sand tone on the walls and burgundy red on the mailboxes, elevator door and ceiling lamp, also testifies to the taste that can be seen here. Sophisticated, valuable, dignified and yet extremely modern. A perfect mix to feel good.
LOCATION
Linienstrasse is located in the middle of the popular Scheunenviertel. As a bicycle street, it is now pleasantly quiet, and if you miss big city life, you can quickly stroll onto the Torstrasse, which runs parallel, and get your pulse here. At this level on Linienstrasse you actually have everything you could expect from life in the heart of Berlin: delicious macarons right next door at Loti Pantón, chic Scandinavian clothes at Our Legacy, exquisite wines from Weinkeller four doors further down and probably the best vegan restaurant in Berlin, Frea, is just a 4-minute walk away. You can find your daily groceries at the Kiezmarkt (350 meters) or at the Rewe on Chausseestraße (850 m). The Berlin Metropolitan School is directly opposite and the area is also very spoiled in terms of other educational institutions.
You are connected via tram and subway from Oranienburger Tor (250 meters) and from here you can reach the main station within 11 minutes and BER in around 45 minutes.
