INTERIOR
This "Altbau" apartment is inspired by the Scandinavian look, with its very clear, almost puristic design language. It can be experienced throughout the entire apartment and its furniture, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. The reduction to the colors black, white and gray is part of this thoroughly thought-through concept. This is expressed by white and black tiles, white painted smooth walls and black sockets and switches. The light gray kitchen impresses with the noble, Carrara marble slab with matching splash back. This gray-white marble can also be found on the windowsill, whereby the holistic design claim has been implemented in a straight line as well. In contrast to these discreet, elegant shades, herringbone parquet has been laid throughout the apartment. This gives the apartment its uniform appearance and generosity as well as warmth.

The original details of the old building have been carefully refurbished and stucco ornaments, wooden windows, brass handles and other details have been preserved and given a new shine.

Thanks to its design reduction one gets an extremely tasteful apartment that offers plenty of room for individual furnishing accents.

FEATURES
The open kitchen with a cozy seating area, reminiscent of the last holiday in the country, is equipped with all appliances. These include an oven at working height, induction hob, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. Built-in spots provide some pleasant light in the evening, some of them are dimmable.

The bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating and a large window. The white tiles with a French pattern contrast to the dark gray floor tiles. The design bathroom is completed with high-quality fittings from Grohe and ceramics from Keramag.

The apartment is heated by a district heating. Additional storage space is provided by a spacious cellar room.

EXTERIOR
This typical Berlin old building impresses with its symmetry and size. During the renovation, attention was paid to preserve the original layout. Window formats, balconies, bay windows, etc. were preserved and thus the character of the building. Even inside it was important not to destroy the overall impression. Terrazzo floors, stone pedestals and wooden doors were preserved. Even the staircase with its original steps and railings exudes the former design requirements through a skilfully reduced colourfulness. Here one experiences directly the classical dignity of an old building, as the architects had in mind once upon a time; only more beautiful, because it is so well-kept, clean and nicely renovated with preservation of the old.

LOCATION
The apartment is located very quietly in the garden house and if you sit on the idyllic balcony and look into the trees in the garden, you have no idea that it is only a 3 minutes walk from the Ku'Damm. Here you will find everything a big-city heart desires: shopping at the KaDeWe, dining at Francucci's, arguably the best neighborhood Italian or checking out design classics by Vitra and USM Haller at smow Berlin. And when guests arrive, the tastefully designed Hotel Ku'Damm 101is a stone's throw away.

The morning run can be done around the nearby Lietzensee finishing off with an espresso in the boathouse Stella.

Traffic-wise, one is ideally connected by the S-Bahn stops Halensee and Charlottenburg (each a 9 minute walk) and the subway station Adenauerplatz. Even by car you are on the city highway in no time and from there you can reach Tegel in 12 minutes or Potsdam in 22 minutes.
