INTERIOR
Classically beautiful old building apartment from the turn of the century, with all the advantages that make these apartments so extremely popular. 106 m² on the 4th floor in the front building with elevator are essential facts. The spatial program includes living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a hallway with space for a cloakroom. Variable use of the rooms is of course possible because they are almost the same size, each have two windows and similar proportions. This equivalence creates this flexibility.
The separate kitchen is so large that the dining area could also be accommodated here. The ceiling heights, the stucco, the old doors and frames, the lattice windows are also among the details that contribute to the flair of this historicist apartment. All this was subjected to an extremely exciting color concept. The two street-side rooms are kept entirely in white, including doors, windows, baseboards, etc. They both shine brightly, almost neutrally. The kitchen was given a light shade of gray (Elephant Gray according to Farrow & Ball), which was perfectly matched to the darker gray of the kitchen fronts. The white of the ceilings, windows, doors, etc. stands out clearly and results in a nice light-dark contrast, just like in the bathroom, where teal meets white tiles and sanitary objects. The cloakroom area and hallway also rely entirely on brightness with neutral white. Beautiful colors, harmoniously coordinated, result in a great picture and put you in a good mood. The wooden floors made of oak as planks and parquet go well with this. They ensure creative cohesion.
Brightness is guaranteed by its location on the 4th floor, comfort by the elevator. Quiet when sleeping due to the location of the bedroom facing the inner courtyard. Classically beautiful old building aesthetics with flexible functionality are offered here, whereby the bathroom with its wide window front plus shower and bathtub is a rarity. Here, tradition skilfully meets the modern look thanks to the bold use of colour; discreet, reserved, calm. A design concept that has lasting validity, just like the well thought-out functionality and aesthetics that rely on reduction in materials and surfaces.
OTHER
Other features are: Elevator directly to the floor with a view of the atrium, video intercom system, approx. 15m² large, dry basement with metal shed, bicycle room, garbage room and plenty of space for prams. The quality of the building renovation is demanding.
EXTERIOR
The Jablonskistraße in Prenzlauer Berg is exactly how you imagine this neighborhood to be. Multi-storey Gründerzeit buildings that line the avenues and only a few new buildings that take up the street alignment. The facades have all been renovated in the meantime, so that the original variety and splendor of the buildings come into their own again. The similarities such as the number and height of floors, eaves heights, bay windows, balconies, perforated facades, window formats, etc. create this harmony.
You can also experience this beauty in the entrance and staircase. Black and white tiles colored to match the railings and the steps meet neutral white on the walls, ceilings and windows. The red sisal runner with its brass rods sets a colorful accent. Wicker arches and historical lattice windows in the stairwell create an ambience together with the railing and the apartment doors with the colored slug panes and the relief structures. Simply beautiful, this excellent old craft that was made visible here or has remained. Well-groomed, reduced, creatively focused on the essentials; lovingly dealing with all details during the renovation. That's why apartments like this one in houses with such a successful renovation are so popular and coveted.
LOCATION
The Winskiez is actually more often called the Winsviertel and is located around Winsstraße up to Prenzlauer Allee and Greifswalder Straße. It's quiet, green and there are lots of nice shops, bars and more. In the Soeur you will find second-hand pieces in French and Scandinavian style, at Herr Rossi there is delicious Italian food and you can sit super comfortably. At Sorsi e Morsi you can drink good wine with small tapas and the best places to go shopping are Edeka on Marienburger Straße, Bio Company on Greifswalder Straße or Lidl on Prenzlauer Allee. Or of course in one of the many delicatessens in the district.
You are connected either by the M2 and M10 from Prenzlauer Allee/Danziger Strasse or by S-Bahn from Prenzlauer Allee. This means you can reach the main train station in just under 20 minutes and BER Airport in around 45 minutes.
