INTERIOR
A calm interplay of colour, light and material defines the atmosphere of this carefully reimagined design apartment. At its heart lies a custom-built sand yellow core that elegantly integrates wardrobe, kitchen, sofa and storage, creating clear spatial zones and maximising function within a compact footprint. It is a quietly expressive statement of functional architecture.
The open kitchen features clean lines and a muted palette. Matte beige cabinetry is paired with brushed stainless steel elements that lend a touch of precision and clarity. Wall-mounted fixtures, a flush cooktop and integrated black appliances underscore the pared back aesthetic. A cosy dining area with a built-in bench adjoins the kitchen, softly framed by floor length curtains that filter the light and add a sense of ease.
Living and sleeping areas merge seamlessly yet remain thoughtfully defined. A low bookshelf with integrated seating forms a subtle threshold, complemented by a full height curtain that offers additional separation and privacy. The bed is tucked into the quieter rear of the apartment, flanked by custom cabinetry and oriented towards the calm interior. The overall design language remains restrained with natural fabrics and a focus on quiet, balanced forms.
The bathroom continues the carefully composed material palette with large format tiles, a bathtub and a rain shower. A considered approach to texture and tactility runs throughout the space, culminating in the generous loggia which extends the living area outdoors and opens to a lush green view, offering a sense of both retreat and openness.
EXTERIOR
The building dates from the 1980s and reflects the architectural clarity of the post war era. The facade is plastered and painted in a soft light tone, structured by regular window axes and restrained in its overall appearance. It embodies the unpretentious functionality typical of this period, with subtle symmetry and practical proportions.
To the street side, the house is framed by mature deciduous trees that provide shade and privacy in summer and lend the neighbourhood a calm, green character. The entrance leads through a well maintained stairwell with a timeless, utilitarian charm. The top floor features dormers and recessed balconies. Altogether, this is a discreet and harmonious residential building, representative of a period that today is again appreciated for its modesty and spatial logic.
