Upon entering the main floor, you’re welcomed into a minimalist, open-concept kitchen adorned with handle-free, matte-finish cabinetry and sleek stainless steel countertops and sink. This space flows directly onto a cozy terrace, perfect for al fresco dining or unwinding in the open air. There is an electric awning and sun protection on the windows. Beyond the kitchen, a hallway leads to the apartment’s core areas, including a guest restroom, utility room with laundry connections, and a discreet storage room concealing a secondary entrance. Moving forward, you arrive in the grand living room, which boasts soaring ceilings up to 4.5 meters high and a stylish fireplace. This space opens onto a spacious terrace, enhancing the apartment's inviting ambiance. Next to the terrace is a practical outdoor storage room for balcony furniture, beverage crates, etc.
This level also houses two bedrooms: a master bedroom (with air condition) near the main bathroom and a secondary bedroom situated just behind the living area. The bathroom embodies a clean, minimalist aesthetic, enhanced by warm natural tones. It features a frameless glass shower with a ceiling-mounted rain showerhead and a recessed wall shelf. A floating white vanity with an integrated sink is topped by an expansive mirror, reaching up to the ceiling to amplify the room's sense of space. Rich wooden flooring adds warmth, and the additional sauna, bathtub and underfloor heating evoke a serene, spa-like atmosphere.
The upper level introduces an open gallery that draws light and airiness into the spaces below. Adjacent is a private office, leading to a second bedroom complete with an en-suite bathroom. The en-suite’s design embraces minimalist elegance with earthy tones, a ceiling-mounted showerhead, and simple yet refined fixtures, offering a unique blend of functionality and modern aesthetics.

The elevator will be completed in a few months and the top stop will be between the 3rd and 4th floors.
EXTERIOR
The residential building at Ackerstraße 157 was commissioned by master bricklayer Wilhelm Strasser in 1880, and the building’s façade was meticulously restored in 1992, with careful attention given to preserving the original stucco details, albeit with a few minor adjustments. Like its neighboring structures from the 1880s, the decorative style shifts on the fourth floor, where the window arrangement culminates in segmental gables above the third-floor windows. The fourth floor is distinguished by a base cornice and pilasters, while a tendril frieze was added below the kneeling floor during the restoration. The building and its interior stand as an invaluable testament to Berlin’s pre-war architectural heritage and thus also has been designated as a historic landmark.
The entrance hallway has a classic, understated elegance with a retro feel. The floor is tiled in a geometric pattern of beige and dark brown octagonal tiles, adding a vintage touch. The walls are painted in a soft cream color, complementing the warm, neutral tones. A round, white pendant light hangs from the ceiling, providing soft, diffused lighting. The are dark-framed double doors with glass panes allow natural light to flow in.
LOCATION
Ackerstraße in Mitte is a street rich in history, blending old architecture with modern developments. Once impacted by the Berlin Wall, the area has since undergone revitalization and gentrification. Today, it's a sought-after location close to Rosenthaler Platz and Torstraße, offering a mix of cafes, shops, and nightlife, along with excellent public transport links, capturing the essence of vibrant Berlin living.
For a great cup of coffee in the morning just head downstairs to Cafe Ribo, where you actually can stay until lunch and taste some of their vegetarian Swabian raviolis (Maultaschen) or spaetzle. The Acker market hall is just a few steps away, offering groceries and other delicacies in the small shops Weinhandlung or Vom Einfachen das Gute next door.
The main station can easily reach by the tram around the corner in approx. 9 minutes, and the BER in around 45 minutes.
