INTERIOR
The apartment at Winstrasse 25 is in a building that was completely renovated from 2012 - 2015. Architect Viola Beil supervised the construction project from design to completion and landscape architect Hoehn designed the inner courtyards. So professionalism is guaranteed, which is why the apartment also meets the standards of a new building.
Located on the 3rd floor in the front building, there is a very large living room (36 m²), a large bedroom, a kitchen with dining area overlooking the French balcony, a full bathroom with shower and bathtub, a utility room for washing machine and dryer and two balconies on 98 m² .
The floor plan is designed in such a way that the kitchen and living room can be accessed directly from the entrance. Then around the corner is the private area with bathroom and bedroom. During the refurbishment, the essential elements that make up the quality of Wilhelminian style old buildings were retained: room heights, room proportions, window proportions, lattice windows, etc. are all part of it. Innovations were partially adapted to the old, such as stucco adaptations as a ceiling frieze in all rooms. Windows, doors, heating, plumbing, electrical, interior design including interior fittings fully meet absolute new building standards. Today's housing needs were also taken into account. A second balcony facing the green inner courtyard was installed, and a glazed elevator reaches almost to the front door via the offset stairwell.
In terms of design, the apartment is a combination of old and new. The reduction to white is consistently maintained from the porcelain socket, through all smoothly plastered walls, the specially made kitchen and furniture fittings to the tiles in the bathroom. This is how everything works from a single source. This is contrasted by the dark stained natural wood parquet floor, a kind of classic light-dark contrast that is also followed by the floor tiles in the bathroom.
A special highlight is the lighting system, which was specially designed with health aspects in mind (circadian rhythm). Perfection and aspiration down to the last detail. This is matched by the design awareness, which applies equally to the interior design and interior design. As an example, the door knob made of porcelain from Manufactum, the classic parasol from Weishäupl or the sofas LC2 or LC 3 from Le Corbusier (furniture optionally available) - the who's who of German design from classic modern to the present.
An exclusive, tasteful, beautiful apartment as a combination of old and new was created. Something for the extraordinary taste with a certain understatement.
EXTERIOR
The building on Winstrasse is already in wonderful condition from the outside. During the refurbishment of the building ensemble, the facade was perfectly renovated so that the house shines in its old, new splendor. The neo-classical facade with the bay window-balcony combination, the perforated facade with the characteristic window proportions and window arrangements, the flower box holders or the restrained stucco as a plaster pocket or profiled frieze is an expression of the feeling for beauty and aesthetics in earlier times.
The height of the building was retained during the renovation, as the new roof structure is set back slightly. The building fits so harmoniously into the historic streetscape that characterizes the entire quarter so strikingly. Inside, too, the building presents itself as characteristically new and yet old. The entrance portal shines in Bordeaux red, matching the profiled tiles at parapet height. So here, too, an extremely tastefully designed, perfectly maintained ambience - old and new in such a natural-looking symbiosis that reflects the respectful handling of history while taking into account the needs of today.
