INTERIOR
The duplex apartment was redesigned according to the plans of the Spanish architect Trujillo Moya. Moya has made a name for itself through various Berlin apartment conversions. It is characterized by a special interior design that is planned and implemented down to the last detail. This includes stairs, doors, built-in cupboards, shelves, etc., which means that each apartment forms a unit and appears to be made of one piece. This also applies to this apartment on Strelitzer Strasse.
Here, the 1st and 2nd floors were connected via a spiral staircase surrounded by walls. Both levels are the same size and each has an entrance from the stairwell. As a result, visitors can be led almost directly into the public area (2nd floor) with a kitchen consisting of a kitchenette and counter, dining area and living area.
On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms, one of them larger and with a dressing room including built-in cupboards, in which a washing machine and dryer can also be accommodated, and a bathroom with a large shower and also a built-in cupboard.
The walls are plastered smooth without being given another coat of paint. The beige-white iridescent plaster tone was retained. This color was contrasted with a gray-blue, which was used linearly and extensively for all furniture installations, parapet covers, beams and doors. The white tiles as a backsplash in the kitchen and as wall and floor tiles in the bathroom match the color of the wall. White-stained pine floorboards were laid on the living floor, and grey, monochrome linoleum on the sleeping floor. The beautiful room proportions from the old building remained due to the large ceiling heights and the matching window formats.
The orientation to the south and west to the inner courtyard guarantees peace, light and sun. The two planned south-facing balconies that have already been approved by the community of owners create open spaces on which you can eat, drink, sunbathe or otherwise relax. An apartment that has been planned down to the last detail has been created, which shows the professional design - interior design individual, original, extraordinary. Lovers of unique pieces, especially in connection with interior design, will get their money's worth here.
EQUIPMENT
The bathroom is equipped with a Grohe faucet and shower head, Geberitwashbasin, Oventrop heating and Helios ventilation. The kitchen appliances are from Kinse (faucet), Blanco (sink), Bosch (dishwasher), Bauknecht (oven and hob), Siemens (fridge) and Privileg (extractor hood).
With the attic conversion in 2024/2025, an elevator will also be installed at the back.
EXTERIOR
Strelitzer Strasse intersects with Bernauer Strasse, one of the most historic places in Berlin. The "Berlin Wall Memorial" with its steel is reminiscent of the course of the Berlin Wall. The view to the south is towards the television tower at Alexanderplatz.
The street is characterized by Gründerzeit facades and the double-rowed avenue. The building ensemble is typical for Berlin with its front building and garden house. The local facade also lives from other typical elements, such as a perforated facade, tall window formats arranged next to and on top of each other, lattice windows, etc.
The house is entered in the middle via a kind of gateway with a series of round arches. Smoothly plastered with a parapet painted gray, you can see the green inner courtyard from here. Follow the path and you will reach the entrance to the garden house. Since the building has been completely renovated, it is in good condition. The residents also ensure that it stays that way. The greening of the inner courtyard makes it an oasis, coupled with many nearby parks, which provide relaxation in the city green.
LOCATION
Strelitzer Strasse is a quiet, unusually wide cobblestone street in the heart of central Berlin (Rosenthaler-Vorstadt). You can hardly live more centrally in the capital, but still very quiet. In the immediate vicinity are highlights such as the Dubonheur (warm, buttery pain au chocolat!), the world-famous Katz Orange or the historic Ackerhalle with Delikatesss-Rewe. The Weinbergspark or the Berlin Wall Memorial offer green lungs. If you want to get away, it's only a few minutes' walk to the Bernauer Strasse underground station or the Nordbahnhof underground and suburban railway station. From nearby Brunnenstraße there is also a direct tram connection to the main train station, which can be reached in around 14 minutes. The BER is about 45 minutes away.
