The exceptional split-level loft is located within a listed brick ensemble and brings together industrial heritage and contemporary design. Ceiling heights of up to four metres, carefully articulated vaulted ceilings and full-height arched windows define the open spatial character. The architecture unfolds through a deliberate interplay of volume, light and material, anchored by a sculptural staircase with a clear, linear presence. Views extend into the quiet communal garden, grounding the loft in an unexpectedly green setting.
The garden level forms the heart of the home. The living space feels both generous and calm, shaped by its height and the large arched windows that flood the interior with daylight and provide direct access to the terrace. Interior and exterior flow seamlessly into one another, allowing the garden to become an extension of the living area. Materials are deliberately restrained, allowing space, light and proportion to take precedence.
The staircase leads to the gallery level, conceived as an open kitchen. Designed as a bold statement in black, the kitchen creates a deliberate contrast to the otherwise light spatial envelope. Integrated joinery and clean lines reinforce the loft aesthetic while allowing the architecture to remain visually dominant. From the gallery, direct visual connections to the living space emphasise the vertical sequence of rooms. This level is equally suited for cooking, dining or working, underscoring the flexibility of the open plan.
The lower level is reserved for the private quarters. The bedroom is quietly positioned and atmospherically composed, defined by clear lines and a subdued colour palette. Adjacent are the bathroom and a separate guest WC. Both are finished to a high standard, featuring graphic patterned tiles, refined fittings and carefully resolved details that continue the overall design language of the loft.
Suitable for residential, commercial or combined use, the loft forms part of a protected architectural ensemble. It offers a distinctive spatial experience that merges historic substance with contemporary openness, appealing to those who value clarity, generosity of space and a strong architectural identity.
