Fantastic Frank Ibiza & Amsterdam have a special relationship; not only are we part of the same Fantastic Family, but many buyers looking for a property on Ibiza walk into the Amsterdam office and vice versa.
We'd like you to get to know Jason Ham, one of the partners of the Ibiza office along with Izabela Swiecicka

What percentage of your clients, would you say, are Dutch, and what are they looking for?
At the moment probably around 30% of our listed properties for sale are Dutch owners, and new enquiries are also around 30%. In Ibiza there has to be a lot of collaboration between agents, and probably 30% of those are Dutch as well. Therefore, sometimes we find ourselves on viewings with the owner, the buyer, and the agent, all Dutch!
What makes Ibiza, in your experience, such a 'Fantastic Fit' for Dutch clients, and Amsterdam specifically?
Well first of all, Ibiza is a fantastic fit for everybody…..but it is such a short hop from Schipol airport that a weekend away from the city is so easy to arrange. Usually it starts with a weekend in a hotel, then next year a week renting a villa, then a month, and then the dream to own on the island starts to develop….

How does the Ibiza office work together with the Amsterdam office? How would having access to an Ibiza office with a sister office in Amsterdam benefit Dutch clients?
As I mentioned there are many Dutch agents on the island, but it is very rare for them to also have a sister office back home with registered experienced agents selling successfully, especially in Amsterdam. Everyone likes to have a helping hand and be looked after from start to finish, whether they admit it or not.
Therefore, people hunting for a home in Ibiza can walk into the office in Amsterdam
and immediately know that they will be receiving the Fantastic Frank level of professionalism, even before they get to the island, instead of keeping their fingers crossed when they arrive. And vice versa, of course for any of our contacts here in Ibiza, looking to sell or buy back in Amsterdam.
What made you decide to move to Ibiza and work your magic in real estate? How does it differ from the life you had before?
The moment I stepped off the plane for my first holiday to Ibiza in 2001, I knew that I wanted to live here, and it took me almost a decade to realise the dream. The energy, the light, the colours, and being always so close to the sea, just drew me back again and again until I ended up in real estate here.
My life back in London as a property lawyer and partner in my law firm was about as different from now as black and white. I would not know where to begin! This year is my 30th year in total in the property business, one way or another, and every day here, there is another surprise to deal with, but that is what makes
The Ibiza property market is so demanding, and that's why expert advice is so important... but this it what makes........life so interesting here!
If having your own dream property on Ibiza is right up your alley, don't hesitate to contact either Jason directly or even the Amsterdam Office
