Annika Grabold - Photographer

Annika Grabold lives in Hamburg and works in Frankfurt and Hamburg as a freelance artist and curator on a wide range of projects. In addition to her extensive exhibition activities in Germany and Europe, she works as a photographer in and outside the art world. Thus, the relationship with Fantastic Frank already exists for several years.

On the occasion of our long-standing collaboration and the last successful shootings, we spent some time to find out more about the photographer and artist:

Fantastic Frank: In your opinion, what are the most important tools of a good photographer?

Annika Grabold: Photography is a medium that can be used in as many different ways as there are people who work with it. The only important thing is to understand how it works - in order to be able to adopt and actively create the respective mode of operation.

FF: How would you describe your artistic ambition in photography and how do you implement it in the field of architecture and living?

AG: During my art studies I learned the craft of photography and today I use it as a tool for my artistic practice. When I work alongside this as an applied photographer, I can bring my artistic experience to bear with formal aspects of image composition to implement aesthetically pleasant photography. What runs through everything, however, is my approach to colour and the demand for a certain clarity in the visual language.

FF: What connects you and Fantastic Frank in the field of photography, architecture and design?

AG: I have long been interested in the design of spaces and their impact. What I find particularly fascinating is Fantastic Frank's aesthetic concept.

With Fantastic Frank, I work on creating images that provide viewers with a very special experience of space.
