INTERIOR
This smartly designed "Altbau" apartment offers an interior of all the latest trends. The floor plan illustrates this. From a practical short corridor you directly reach bathroom, kitchen and a very large, versatile usable living, working and sleeping area.
The spectacular detail here is a glazed wall behind which the bedroom hides - making it pleasantly bright during the day. Here, an almost ceiling-high closet offers enough storage space. From the living area you can enjoy the sight of this glass wall as well as the green inner courtyard.
The entire apartment has smoothly plastered walls, all of which are white. The wall tiles in the kitchen and bathroom are light, creating a holistic, very bright appearance. The plank floor forms a nice contrast. It was sanded off and oiled (with eco oil) and thus the warm wood tone, which corresponds among other things with the fronts of the kitchen, comes into play over a large area. The apartment gets some nice darker accents through the anthracite gray floor tiles in the bathroom and kitchen with a corresponding worktop. Also, the living-kitchen is fully equipped with all desirable appliances, such as fridge, freezer, oven, ceramic hob and dishwasher. Here you can comfortable fit a nice table for two.
The modern beige bathroom with shower, walk-in drain and a large towel radiator also offers a skylight with pleasant daylight to the kitchen.
This apartment fulfills all today's demands of a modern, stylish living: an old building with high ceilings, historic coffered doors with original brass handles, plank flooring, intelligent, spectacularly designed fixtures and a skilful, holistic design concept. Thus, a unique gem was created.
Additional storage space is offered by a basement room. Optionally, parts of the interior can be taken over.
EXTERIOR
The apartment is located in the garden house of the main building at Torfstrasse. The street is characterized by old buildings from the turn of the century, avenue trees and the Hohenzollern canal flowing in sight with its green banks. The building also has the typical features of historic old buildings: large storey heights, high windows, a large, decorated front door, etc. The splendor is especially visible in the interior, where the stairwell has been lovingly restored. Old details, such as entrance doors, banisters, stairs with new sisal runners remained preserved - thus a lovingly old ambience, only nicer, cleaner, more perfect.
LOCATION
The Sprengelkiez is (still) an absolute insider tip in Berlin. The unique waterfront, scene bars like the Freya Fuchs, the Café Göttlich or the In-Pizzeria St Bess have created a district with a very high quality of life.
If you fancy a summer cooling off, you can reach the Plötzensee in just 10 minutes by bike. The daily shopping can be done in the neighborhood shop "Balaban", at Karstadt "Müllerstraße" or on the weekly market on Leopoldplatz with many regional products from Berlin and Brandenburg.
The nearest underground station Amrumer Strasse can be reached in a 3-minute walk and the S-Bahn station Westhafen in about 10 minutes. Tegel Airport and the main train station are only a 15-minute drive away.
