INTERIOR
The apartment is located in a very prestigious old building in Schöneberg in the heart of Berlin. Due to its location in the jamp sill, which was expanded in 2012 and conveniently accessed by a lift, a gem over Berlin has been created, fulfilling the newest living standards.
Here one can experience the exciting change between lordly, historicist living in the entree and staircase and a state-of-the-art apartment, whose design claim in the new in no way inferior to the old.
Central to the living concept is the atrium-like rooftop terrace, which is bordered on three sides by floor-to-ceiling glass elements. Living / kitchen and dining area as well as the bedroom are surrounded by this glass construction, whereby these rooms are all very bright.
Plants provide a view to the green, so to say private urban gardening. Additional openings in the roof (several electric skylights) and facade windows offer even more light and views of the street with its avenue trees.
The rooms were plastered smooth and are held in white. The massive wooden floor (strip parquet) made of Canadian walnut corresponds with the kitchen counter in oak, creating a holistic ambience. The high-quality, white fitted kitchen has fittings in the reduced, Scandinavian design by famous Vola as well as integrated aluminum handles. All devices come from Siemens. In the entire living and kitchen area built-in spots were installed.
The bathroom was kept in a subtle gray with white ceramic objects by Villeroy & Boch and also here high-gloss fittings by Vola were installed. The rain shower and the towel radiator are almost a must these days. The bathtub and floor heating brings in an even more luxury atmosphere. A skylight also provides for daylight.
Storage space can be found in a separate storage room within the apartment as well as a basement room.
Here you can retreat to your modern, highly sophisticated oasis in the heart of Berlin. You have everything you need today for a perfect living - light, air, sun, intelligent floor plan, latest technology, perfect craftsmanship, seclusion at maximum urbanity.
EXTERIOR
The building is a classic, historicist old building with all the insignia of valuable architecture at the time: Oriels with balustrades, high standing window formats with wooden lattice windows, drums designed as a frieze on the street side roof finishes, further horizontal friezes for the division of the storey sections and stucco elements above the windows - in other words a lavishly decorated façade.
A two-winged front door opens the view to the unique entrée, which is characterized by a ceiling painting bordered by a wide stucco. The overall color refers to the ceiling painting and continues in the staircase. Here one senses the sense of the beauty of this architectural epoch and experiences the luxury that this epoch has achieved in order to incorporate beauty into daily life. Also on the sisal floors with brass rods as wood protection and for damping the acoustics was thought of during the renovation. Everything has been perfectly restored, for example also the railings. The uniqueness of this historic building is still an experience today.
LOCATION
The Grossgörschenstrasse is located in the middle of the Crellekiez - this quiet and tranquil neighborhood is by far one of the most beautiful of Berlin's neighborhoods. Why? Because the cozy neighborhood Italian Trattoria Fellini probably serves the best stone oven pizza in Schöneberg. And every neighborhood needs its own small weekly market. So on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 to 15 o'clock fruits and vegetables are sold on the Crellemarkt. And Bar Barkett offers craft beers, live music and exotic liquors, all in a rustic yet contemporary setting, with even a moss wall. And also the famous Akazienkiez is just around the corner and offers for example Jones Ice Cream; a nice and sweet spot where you can enjoy the best ice cream creations from the French pastry chef Gabrielle Jones. Or the Queen Luise Memorial Church, which really is a church and is lovingly called "cheese bell" by Berliners.
And those who need exercise are in good hands in the neighboring "Park am Gleisdreick". It extends over several kilometers all the way to Potsdamer Platz.
The apartment is perfectly connected via the S-Bahn station Yorckstrasse, because from here you can reach Mitte or Charlottenburg in just a few minutes.
