This extraordinary maisonette apartment is located in the side wing of a historical building ensemble from 1889. The apartment is south-facing with a view of the inner courtyard, which is paved with old stones and all green. It has recently been extensively renovated to give it a highly topical design note. The location on the 1st and 2nd floor and the large inner courtyard guarantee plenty of light.
After entering the apartment via a small entrance zone, one suddenly finds himself/herself in the kitchen or in the living / dining area. The kitchen unit by Superfront with its dark blue fronts, the green-mint-beige worktop made of limestone (Fossil green) with a recessed sink and brass-colored fittings by ...... is an eye-catcher that gives a foretaste of the following design experience.
The living / dining area shines through the two large, high windows, which are based on the history, divided with bars but are technically state-of-the-art with triple glazing.
The open connection between the kitchen unit and the living / dining area allows you to experience the row of windows. Together with the custom-made radiator cladding, this creates a wonderful picture, which of course matches the gray-green of the window frames with the sand-colored tone of the walls. The natural-colored tone of the newly sanded and oiled planks also contributes to the harmony, which is calming and testifies to taste.
A comfortable wooden staircase, which was painted the same gray-green as the window, leads to the 2nd level on the 2nd floor. Here you can expect the bedroom, a built-in wardrobe or a dressing room and various niches for the presentation of various, beautiful things.
The highlight up here is the bathroom - pure spa feeling! Stepless rain shower with frameless glass partition with built-in niche for the bathroom accessories, strictly geometrically shaped washbasin placed on a console that extends from wall to wall, with a wonderful brass fitting from ..... - again color-coordinated with the light, warm beige-brown tone of the walls.
The surface design with Cire-Beton in the shower area including the floor zone in combination with the natural wood planks creates a seamless, colored surface that brings the bathroom together in terms of design. Of course, the large window is particularly beautiful, in shape and size as in the kitchen, living room and bedroom. These 6 windows with their 3-way rhythm are particularly striking for this maisonette apartment.
Old and new complement each other perfectly. The coordinated colors, the stylish selection of objects, the built-in fittings, which are also successful in detail, make this apartment something special. Here someone was at work with passion, taste and differentiated knowledge of contemporary interior design. All of this was put together to create a holistic living environment.
The building is on the Berlin list of monuments and was renovated in 2000 in accordance with the specifications of the monument protection authorities. All construction measures were carried out in accordance with the applicable DIN standards and monitored and approved by TÜV Süd. A basement room also belongs to the apartment.
The Strelitzer Strasse 61 building is located in an extremely historic area in the immediate vicinity of the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse. It was completely and comprehensively renovated in the years 20 ...... With its preserved and lovingly restored facade, it shapes the entire street with its beautiful appearance.
The pastel yellow tone goes well with the stucco-decorated windows, the friezes, the parapet or the rustic-style, lateral wall connections. With this monochrome color scheme, the formal language expressly comes into focus. The window frames and the door portal are set off by a dark brown tone and this light-dark contrast creates a certain tension. This design concept is continued on the back and on the side wing.
Cultivated living environment, as you want it to be. Clean, well-kept, timelessly beautiful in its design quality; a very successful example of the restoration and revitalization of a Wilhelminian style building.
Strelitzer Strasse is a quiet, unusually wide cobblestone street in the heart of central Berlin (Rosenthaler-Vorstadt). You can hardly live more centrally in the capital, but still very quiet. In the immediate vicinity are highlights such as the Dubonheur (warm, buttery soft pain au chocolat!), the world-famous Katz Orange or the historic Ackerhalle with Delikatess-Rewe. The Weinbergspark or the Berlin Wall Memorial are the green lungs. If you want to leave, you can walk to the Bernauer Strasse underground station or the Nordbahnhof underground and S-Bahn station in just a few minutes. There is also a direct tram connection to the main train station from the nearby Brunnenstrasse.
