INTERIOR
The apartment is part of a new development project by the Archigon Group, known for sophisticated, urban residential architecture combined with greenery, for example through park-like courtyards. This can also be experienced at Dresdener Strasse 114.
One innovative aspect of the architecture is the floor plan of this 108 m² big apartment. One enters the apartment directly into the living area, as is known from American apartments. This living and dining area extends from the street-side all the way to the garden-side, bordered by a terrace on one side and a balcony on the other side. The open, modern gray kitchen also is part of this open living area. Floor-to-ceiling glass facade elements provide light, air and sun.
The location on the 4th floor provides even more transparency and brightness. French respectively terrace-like balconies blur the boundaries between the inside and outside. One can easily observe the pulsating life while sitting on the terrace. The sliding sun visor to Alfred-Döblin-Platz is more than just a chic facade detail, because it provides both shade and privacy in a smart way.
In this intelligent, sophisticated floor plan the other rooms correspond to luxurious standards. Two bedrooms each directly adjoin the bathroom with bidet, double vanity, threshold-free, large rain shower, which, in the manner of today's hotels, receives plenty of daylight through an upper window to the living room and a frameless glass wall to one of the bedrooms. The guest bathroom opposite also has a skylight and chic, pastel-gray-colored mosaic tiles.
On the inside, various other glass elements also ensure transparency and creative variety. White plaster surfaces, solid wood parquet, glass mosaic and natural stone tiles in Sahara beige dominate the materials. As a result, well-chosen tared shades meet.

OTHER
Only the fire walls and the staircase core were built from solid walls, so the apartment can also be used as a loft or - taking into account the installation shafts - can individually be divided. Meaning a loft apartment without additional interior walls can easily be realized or, of course, a family apartment with up to four bedrooms.
EXTERIOR
This architecturally striking building on the border (in fact directly on the former border strip) between Mitte and Kreuzberg attracts attention in particular due to its facade design. On the street side, closed surfaces alternate rhythmically with large, transparent glass surfaces. The facade received an exciting relief structure from the balconies behind.
The facade of the inner courtyard is also an architectural feature. Filigree concrete pillars support protruding triangular shapes of the spacious balconies, which are separated by a glass tower-like central section. This guarantees pure privacy.
The colors dominating are the gray of the concrete pillars, the white of the plastered, visible ceilings and the brown wood tone of the windows. The reflections in the large-area glazing show the colors, depending on the time of day and weather.
The interior of the staircase is also special with its triangular wellhole. Function and original design language are dealt with in a playful way. This individuality inside and outside is achieved through functionality from the Bauhaus era which was extended with postmodern elements. Pleasant, varied design that you rarely find in contemporary architecture - brave and skillful in every way!
LOCATION
In the heart of Berlin, just two kilometers from Alexanderplatz, on the southern edge of Mitte and adjacent to Kreuzberg, the small Alfred-Döblin-Platz is located. It was created and designed after the fall of the Berlin Wall. A truly historic place where, among other things, the angel in the film Wings of Desire came down.
