The building ensemble was bought by the great-grandfather of the seller in 1919. The restaurateur from Prenzlauer Berg made it a recreational and residential building, which was mainly only used by the family and passed on from generation to generation.
The single-family home located in a former barn offers a 288 m² usable area including pool house (176 m² living space). Thus, it provides a lot of space for living and hobbies, such as sports, fitness but also gardening, with everything that goes with it. One gets the perfect preconditions that former farmsteads offer. Also for cars is enough space (two garage parking spaces with a maximum ceiling height of 3.55 m), so one can screw, restore, etc. but also just as a parking itself.
The barn's monument protection guaranteed the preservation, which because of its proportions of the building and the historical materials such as clinker is very plausible and welcome.
Due to accompanying renovations (most recently in 2008), the condition of the building is very good. Worth mentioning here is the new roof, the gas boiler and the newly renovated master bathroom with shower, bathtub and underfloor heating. Many parts of the interior are preserved and well maintained: terrazzo tiles, brick-red stoneware, wooden floors, white and colored walls and timber formwork.
During cold, dark winter days an open fireplace brings warmth into the house. One could move in directly or realize his/her own design wishes with much or little effort. With a sense for valuable forms and materials, this historic jewel could shine in a new yet preserved splendor.
Also the apartment building is in a very good condition. Here everything is state-of-the-art, e.g. electric shutters in front of the landmarked soundproof windows, new bathrooms and wooden doors etc. The mezzanine apartment also has partial underfloor heating. There is also a shared bicycle cellar, a washing machine room and two tenants' cellar rooms.
The apartments are currently very well let and ensure a good yield as a basis for the overall financing.
This property ensemble with its various options offers space for creativity right from the start, be it in the redesign or the use of it. A place for artists or large families.

Living area of approx. 38 m²
Mezzanine floor: 94 m²
Attic floor: 73 m²
Additional space and storage space is provided by a basement.
The building ensemble consists of 2 houses built around 1900. They are situated on a plot of 1.342 m², on the street side bordering to a meadow of 15 m width. The classic courtyard entrance has a wall and a wide double-winged gate. This village structure is extremely attractive, because the green extends to the front of the property boundary. The green continues at the backside of the property and opens up to the landscape with unobstructed views towards the orchard and the paddocks behind.
The typical two-storey apartment building is located towards the street and offers two apartments, which are currently rented.
In the middle part of the property is the former barn, a classic red brick building, which was converted into a detached house (the single-family home). Between both buildings extends a small courtyard, partially landscaped with natural stone paving and an allotment-like garden.
Behind the barn is another building, which was planned as a pool house and thus is structurally prepared (see visualization). Dimensions: 10 x 4 m and about 1.80 m deep. There is also a workshop part, which can alternatively be used as a garage (see alternative floor plan).
The overall highlight is the garden with its old trees. From here you can enjoy the open view of the landscape. A paradise for nature and horse lovers, only a 10 minutes' car drive from Prenzlauer Berg.
Malchow is well-known thanks to the Grüner Campus, Berlin's flagship school, where sustainability, the environment and the teaching of responsibility and values through its own farm are of great importance.
The Naturhof Malchow is also a popular destination for families from near and far. Here, one can buy organic products stretching from home-baked bread to homemade ice cream. One can eat the tastiest and healthiest cake of northern Berlin at the Storchencafé or learn all about the diversity of nature in the huge garden behind the café.
By car Berlin's city center can be reached in approximately 10 minutes, by public transport it takes about 34 minutes. Also, within a few minutes the motorways A10 and A11 towards Hamburg or Baltic Sea can be reached.
