INTERIOR
When redesigning this almost 50 m² big apartment, special attention was paid to the color scheme. Warm beige-brown tones correspond with door leaves and skirting boards in a mustard tone. The radiators and heating pipes were also included in this color tone. Light ceilings are based on the kitchen fronts and provide "airy" heights. The result was a cozy, warm atmosphere that convinces with taste and with sensitive, color fine-tuning. The bathroom is particularly comfortable with a bathtub. Well-known manufacturers such as Grohe or Vigour were used.
A perfectly compacted hallway opens up to all rooms and bathrooms. The spacious living-kitchen-dining area comprises around 25 square meters and is adjacent to a spacious balcony (approx. 10 m²) facing south. The bedroom with approx. 12 square meters is also adjacent to the balcony, which is illuminated by a strip of windows consisting of three large, rectangular individual elements, as is the living-kitchen-dining area. Repetition as a creative commonality between the rooms.
Living here is enjoyable and comfortable because all essential things are fulfilled. Singles and couples alike feel happy here because they can just move in!
OTHER
The apartment also has a cellar compartment and bicycle racks in the inneryard. The kitchen appliances are from Bosch with a sink and mixer from Blanco as well as a washing machine. Door and window handles are from Hoppe, wooden insulating glass windows with regular air ventilation and sun protection pleated blinds in a uniform dark color and completely laid-out flooring made of high-quality vinyl in a wooden plank pattern. The apartment also has LAN cabling and a video intercom. And the elevator can be used to comfortably reach the 4th floor.
EXTERIOR
The city apartment is located on Bismarckstrasse in Charlottenburg, the most renowned district in Berlin with the highest quality of life. The building, consisting of residential and commercial units, was for the most part renovated between 2015 and 2018 (e.g. the balconies, the staircase, the facades, strings, cellar shelters and windows). As a result, the architectural approach of the buildings of the 1970s was authentically restored. The restrained architecture of cubic forms, staggered on the sides and upwards and provided with distinctive curves, is experiencing a renaissance.
The vertical and horizontal, rhythmic arrangement of rectangular window formats of equal size to form ribbon windows is also a significant feature of this architectural period. The reduction to the two calming colors black and white also corresponds in its reduction to the then and current zeitgeist in order to work out the formal language without distracting colors.
Living in such a beautiful retro-futuristic cult building is trendy and provides the basis for enjoying the pulsating life in the big city.
LOCATION
Bismarckstrasse is Berlin's Champs-Élysées. The former "Avenue" runs right through Charlottenburg and offers everything a big city heart desires. The Deutsche Oper is only a few minutes' walk away, and everything from a morning espresso at Black Fox Coffee to sophisticated delicacies (Rogacki) to beach bars (Bootshaus Stella am Lietzensee) is closeby. Here, one is also directly by the Lietzensee (8 minutes' walk) and can go jogging or walking in the morning or in the evening. If one wants to get out into the world, the Bismarckstrasse underground station (4 minutes' walk) or the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station (8 minutes' walk) can ideally be reached.
