Sort Studio

It started as a design project - how could they form a studio that draws on their diverse backgrounds and interests where they could collaborate, experiment, and design together.

Sort Studio works across a variety of scales, from the scale of an urban room to a steel lattice soaring overhead.

Their public work includes a bridge over Boulder Creek inspired by the dynamic movement of the water below; Aperture, a prototype micro-park on the 16th Street Mall designed to focus your gaze to the ever-changing sky; Point to Point, a three dimensional drawing of glowing thread, a woven steel canopy at Mile High Harley Davidson; The Deck, a mobile cinema and stage on 16th Street for Meet in the Street, and DAM's Family Central, reconfigurable play spaces limited only by children's imaginations.

They have worked with diverse partners ranging from the City of Boulder to the Downtown Denver Partnership and the Denver Art Museum.
