FRAMA
Now, onto our primary destination, Copenhagen, Denmark.

We, unfortunately, missed our friends Alexandra and Koen of Vail-based Hygge Life in CPH by a few hours. They had spent the previous week there for the 3 Days of Design festival. Luckily for us, they had the perfect city guide to share. With that, we had a road map for exploring some of the best design experiences this “Design Capital” has to offer.
Thanks to their guide, we learned of places like HØst, Apollo Bar, and our favorite experience, Gro Spiseri. We also learned that Frama had recently opened a café called Apotek 57 connected to their shop and studio. Visiting the studio was already on our list of places to visit after learning at check-in that Frama designed the renovation of our Airbnb, a historic horse stable turned Scandinavian dream dwelling.
Frama is a multi-disciplinary design brand that creates lifestyle objects that inspire the senses and encourage mindful living. With an emphasis on natural materials, simple geometries, and uncompromising quality, Frama’s work connects the imaginative with the practical, resulting in a uniquely warm and honest aesthetic.
Since the launch of their first collection in 2011, Frama has embraced an organic and collaborative approach to design, a practice equally inspired by the old and the new, by digital technologies and analog traditions. Frama’s naturalistic, hands-on approach to design and production has allowed the brand to create a unified aesthetic across a growing range of product collections, including: furniture, lighting, home objects, fabrics, apothecary, books, and kitchens.
We really enjoyed starting our day with coffee and breakfast at Apotek 57, followed by a tour of their retail and studio space. It was a brand experience for all the senses, and it was an experience that we’ll never forget.
