ESSENTIALISM

Perhaps one of the most well-known architectural aphorisms is Mies van der Rohe’s “Less is More”. Or is it Dieter Rams’, “Less, but Better”? The real question is, how does this translate from architecture and design to one’s way of life? Greg McKeown helps us with this translation in his book (and audible) titled, Essentialism – The Disciplined Pursuit of Less. We highly recommend this read for anyone who would like to simplify their day to day (or career path), in hopes of magnifying the few things that not only bring them the greatest joy and sense of purpose in life, but that also allows them to realize a greater return or outcome on whatever it is they decide to direct their focused time and energy towards.
