LAYOUT
Entrance from the quay via the steel staircase with balustrade. Entry via a wooden staircase with ingenious built-in drawers. To the left is the bespoke kitchen with eye-catching PittCooking gas burners integrated into the natural stone top. Another great detail is the convenient self-cooling space under the floor, accessible via a hatch. Also equipped with a Quooker, fridge, combi oven, and plenty of storage space.
A built-in lounge has been created in the bow where you can enjoy views across the entire boat and peer out over the water. There is also an ingenious little metal desk which creates the optimal waterfront workplace. Halfway up the boat is the bathroom with Corian walls and a wash basin with storage, a marble spacious walk-in shower, and a WC. In the stern is the spacious bedroom with a built-in double bed and closet space, washer/dryer, and ample under-floor storage.

TECHNICAL
Carried out during the 2017 renovation:
- The boat has been made level, so no sloping floors
- Insulated inside and outside, to prevent a cold bridge
- The underwater hull is insulated, under the floor and above the ceiling is 14-layer insulation material, and walls are fitted with glass wool
- All plumbing, piping, and electrics were renewed
- Equipped with a powerful pump, which propels the wastewater into the city sewer system
- All technology is easily accessible for maintenance or inspection

SURROUNDINGS
Living here is a delight, the golden middle of the canal belt - Jordaan, the Da Costabuurt, and the Helmersbuurt. There are numerous fine restaurants, cafés, and specialty shops within easy reach. Bosboom Toussaintstraat offers a village-like coziness with restaurants such as Gertrude, Café Toussaint, De Italiaan, and lunch spot Ted's. Furthermore, the Ten Katemarkt, hotspot De Hallen, and a plurality of specialty shops. Of course, there are several supermarkets, from regular to organic. The hull and superstructure were already in excellent condition thanks to the previous owner, who lived here with care for more than 40 years. Selecting high-quality materials and finding creative solutions to make the best use of the space was a real pleasure. The decision to put the Ferdinand Huyck up for sale was not an easy one.
